Velcra - Consequences Of Disobedience

Velcra's "Consequences of Disobedience" (2002) is a well-regarded debut blending heavy industrial, nu-metal, and rap with female vocals (Jessi Frey), praised for its catchy hooks like "My Law" and "Can't Stop Fighting," fitting the void left by bands like Nine Inch Nails or Prodigy, though fans later found their second album, "Between Force and Fate," even heavier.

Velcra was a Finnish nu metal/industrial/rap metal music group formed in 2000. In 2002, Velcra released their debut studio album Consequences of Disobedience, which showed a mixture of pop melodies and heavy industrial mixed with rapping. The two singles 'Can't Stop Fighting' and 'My Law' helped them get to No.5 in the Finnish charts.
In 2005, they adapted a much heavier sound with their second album Between Force and Fate, which had more focus on the groovy nu metal and hip hop part of their sound.
The band released their final album, Hadal, in 2007. It showcased an experimental electro-industrial/trip hop sound that utilized elements of metal and other electronic styles. the band broke up the following year.
The band briefly returned for a reunion show in 2019 in their home country of Finland. Frontwoman Jessi Frey now does solo work as a synthpop/synthwave artist.
